Llandudno Victorian Extravaganza

The Llandudno Victorian Extravaganza is a long-running, much-loved heritage and community festival held in Llandudno, North Wales, celebrating the town's Victorian roots and seaside resort history. It typically takes place over the May Day Bank Holiday weekend each year and transforms the town into a lively funfair with free entertainment, and family-friendly activities.

The Grand Parade is BACK for 2027

We know how much you all loved our midday parade, so for our 40th event (with a short break during the COVID years), we're bringing it back.

We need your help!!

Calling all marching bands, performers, and anyone who loves dressing up in Victorian costumes — we need you to help bring the parade to life!

We'd also love to hear from local businesses and community groups who want to take part in the 2027 event. This is all about celebrating together, and we're keen to make it something truly special for the whole community.

We're also looking for parade stewards, so if you'd like to be part of the team, use our contact form or message us on Facebook to let us know!

Highlights and Activities

  • Street Entertainment: Juggling, music, theatre, magicians, and performers entertain crowds throughout the weekend.
  • Fairground: Modern & Vintage rides, steam engines, and funfair stalls evoke the feel of a seaside carnival.
  • Victorian Dress Competition: Visitors are encouraged to wear period outfits and can take part in best-dressed contests.
  • Community Activities: Local shops often decorate in Victorian style and host themed competitions like window dressing and sandcastle building on the beach.

Where it happens

  • Most activities are based in Mostyn Street, the town centre. LL30 2NL
  • We run alongside related events — for example, the Llandudno Transport Festival showcasing vintage vehicles at Bodafon Fields. You can ride a vintage bus that will link the two events for a small donation.
