Victorian Extravaganza FAQs

How much does it cost?

There is absolutely no entrance fee to the Extravaganza event. However, if you spot or hear a shake of one of our buckets held by our amazing volunteers, and, of course, have some spare change, please do pop it in! The event is funded by ourselves independently, is not for profit, and each year costs in the region of £80,000. Every penny helps to keep the event going each year!

Please note that we are often confused with the Llandudno Transport Festival which happens the same weekend at Bodafon fields in Llandudno. This is a separate event and does have an entrance fee.

Do I need to bring money?

The event is free to attend, the entertainment is free, the exhibits are free. There are a number of fun fair attractions and stalls at the event that are chargeable. If you wish to participate you will be required to pay. Prices start from £2. There are a number of cash machines & Banks in Llandudno

Is there parking?

The event is on the main streets of Llandudno which is closed to vehicle access. Llandudno has many car parks which you will find indicated on the map. All carry a charge and these charges can be found on the Conwy County Borough Council website. There's also parking along the promenade for a charge.

Are there places to stay?

Yes! Llandudno has an abundance of hotels, guest houses and B&Bs. Hop onto Booking.com where you can find lots of popular places to make your visit extra special!

What time is the event on?

The event runs 10am until 6pm Saturday and Sunday, and 10am until 5pm Monday.

When's best to come?

The event is over the first May Bank holiday every year. Each day has a similar programme. Collect a programme from a shop in the town so you don't miss any of the fantastic entertainment.

Is there an age limit?

The event is suitable for all. You don't need to be young or old to enjoy the event. There's no need to be a Victorian enthusiast either. Vintage exhibits, funfair and entertainment mixed with modern funfair and entertainment. This is a family event which has something for everyone.

Are dogs allowed?

Yes of course. Please be mindful around the traction engines as they can whistle loudly. It is a very busy event with lots of hustle and bustle. Llandudno does have at least one cafe that is dog friendly if you fancy getting off the streets and enjoying a cuppa.
